Are EVA foam mats safe for babies?

Yes. Our mats are made of quality EVA foam, non-toxic, BPA-free, phthalate-free, lead-free, formamide-free and meet Canadian safety standards for products intended for children.

From what age can children use your mats?

Our mats can be used from birth (0+). They are made with safe and suitable materials for toddlers, making them perfect for playtime on the floor, tummy time, and then to support developmental stages such as crawling, exploration and first steps.

What is the thickness of the carpet?

Our mats are 1.2 cm thick. A greater thickness provides more cushioning for falls and active play.

What are the delivery times?

Delivery times vary depending on your location. You will receive a tracking number once your order has been shipped.

What is your return policy?

We accept returns within 30 days of receiving your order. Refunds are available for unopened and unused rugs within 30 days of the purchase date . To initiate a return, please contact us.

Do you offer a warranty on the carpets?

We believe in the quality of our products. That's why we offer a 365-day limited warranty covering manufacturing defects. This warranty applies only when the product is used as intended. If you receive a rug that you believe is defective, please contact us immediately so we can quickly resolve the issue.

Matevy was born from a simple, but deeply personal desire:

to offer children a gentle, safe and comforting space where they can play, discover and grow — without compromise.

The idea took root during my first maternity leave. Like many parents, I spent long hours on the floor with my child: the first rolls, the first hesitant steps, the spontaneous bursts of laughter. I was looking for a playmat that was safe, comfortable, durable… and beautiful.

But on the market, nothing really met my criteria.

I ended up buying a cheap rug, for lack of anything better. Barely three weeks later, the design's protective coating was already starting to peel off. The rug was deteriorating, becoming unsightly — and above all, no longer reassured me.

That's when something changed.

I thought to myself: there must be something better .

And if it doesn't exist yet... why not create it?

That's how Matevy began.

Two and a half years of research, testing, reflection and decisions made with the heart — always guided by the same intention: to create rugs designed for real family life.
